Job Summary

Directs and oversees operations and strategic planning of recruitment of degree programs and student programming for the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity and partners. Acts as a catalyst between departments, faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality programming and customer service.

Responsibilities

1. Directs the development and implementation of student service objectives that are comprehensive, appropriate, and consistent with the University of Utah's goals and objectives through enhancement of the Exceptional Student Experience.

2. Mentors and oversees degree programs for national credentialing standards to ensure all academic activities and requirements are met.

3. Oversees operations in areas relating to recruitment of student programming.

4. May assist with new initiatives including global curricular and co-curricular programs, and new degrees and degree expansion.

5. Assists with execution of short and long-term goals.

6. Estimates budgetary requirements for programming including staff, space, equipment, supplies, and travel costs.

7. Leads recruiting and marketing efforts to promote new and existing programs and degrees to internal and external customers including advertising campaigns, social media, websites, and information sessions.

8. Designs and develops content for recruitment materials.

9. May manage staff resources for student programming including recruitment, training, and supervision of program staff.

10. May participate and serve on campus-wide committees for student program and degree development/expansion and implementation.

11. Develops strategies consistent with the University of Utah's continuous quality improvement program.

12. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns, and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through.

13. Facilitates cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships.

14. Interpret and serve as an expert on department and university policies and regulations to ensure compliance.

15. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); eight years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required.
