The building features six stories of residential living with a variety of room types to suit the individual needs of 775 students at different stages in their academic career. Residents will converge in the Forum, the gathering space that brings together a broad community of students and practitioners united by a passion for change. Here, residents will convene to participate in trainings, workshops, guest speakers, cultural events, impact collaborations, networking events, conferences, mentorship, community outreach and more.

The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter is committed to providing next level student and guest service. We pride ourselves on being the gold standard in creating an impactful residential experience through programing that support student aspirations. The Hospitality Coordinator creates a team and culture of customer engagement and services for students and guests at the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter while managing all of the hospitality desk services. The Epicenter hospitality desk is a comprehensive service provider operating 24/7/365. The hospitality desk will engage with students, guests, and others in assisting with questions and providing guidance as needed. This role will oversee the management of an integrated mailroom and provide onsite oversight to all Epicenter spaces. The position incumbent should anticipate being an integral part of the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter operation.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions


1. The hospitality desk of the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter is the main point of engagement and service. The Hospitality Coordinator position oversees the operations of our hospitality desk. The Hospitality Coordinator will create the culture and processes that are responsive to the needs of student who live at the Epicenter and guests who use the resources of the Epicenter and who want to engage in the programming offered by the Epicenter. The Hospitality Coordinator will report directly to the General Manager of the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter.

2. The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter hospitality desk operates 24 hours/365 days a year. This position will work collaboratively with other Epicenter members who staff shifts including the afternoon, evening, night and weekends to ensure consistent customer service in answering questions and meeting visitor and resident needs.

3. Day-to-day duties include: answering questions about building events, providing support for resident lost keys/card access concerns, after-hour building access, lost and found, custodial emergencies, direction for campus resources and services, processing mail/packages and distributing items with accuracy to residents, auditing and managing the check-out processes for resources (e.g., technology, vacuums, etc) at the hospitality desk. These duties include maintaining a working understanding of Emergency Procedures for after-business hours triaging and response to resident or building related concerns.

4. The Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the hospitality desk and attached mailroom are serving the needs of residents and patrons of the building. This will include the receipt, logging, distribution, and auditing of packages/mail for residents and businesses located in the Epicenter .

5. Develops and maintains effective collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, partners, administration, and guests.

6. Develops and implements specific customer service KPIs to measure performance and efficiencies of the hospitality desk through qualitative and quantitative assessment practices.

7. May develop systems and maintain records to support and advance the operations at the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter.

8. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions. Provides appropriate follow-through to ensure quality customer service.

9. Coordinates, in conjunction with direction provided by the HRE team members, the process of resident mid-semester move-in, move-out, and room changes.

10. All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
