Laboratory Coordinator

The Laboratory Coordinator will play a crucial role in advancing the research efforts of Dr. Angela Pfammatter's laboratory by ensuring smooth operations, maintaining compliance, and contributing to the scientific outputs of the research projects. With periodic oversight and mentorship from Dr. Angela Pfammatter, this position is responsible for the efficient operation and management of Dr. Pfammatter’s research program. This individual oversees daily activities, ensures compliance with protocols and regulations, manages part-time personnel and student task allocation and communication, and contributes to data analysis and publication efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social behavioral research, clinical trials, and intervention research conduct.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

• At least 1 year of experience in coordinating research projects and maintaining detailed records.

• Competency in using Office 365.

• Advanced knowledge of laboratory and scientific principles, techniques, procedures, equipment, and terminology.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, local, and university regulations and requirements, guidelines, and SOPs.

Preferred:

• 3 years’ experience in social behavioral research, clinical trials, and intervention research conduct.

• Knowledge of / familiarity with RedCAP

• Proficient skills in R/R Studio

• Knowledge of / training in motivational interviewing

• Knowledge of / training in the Diabetes Prevention Program
