Job Description
• Provide end user hardware device support by: serving as an information resource related to various device and peripheral systems, including PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile device operating systems and application programs. Install, configure, and upgrade end user software and maintain device hardware and operating systems. Consult with end users to analyze their technological requirements.
• Provide applications / software support by: providing specialized support for MURR specific software as well as University supported email applications, second tier support on approved software and applications, and integrate different computing systems for users if possible and when necessary.
• Focus on high-level, professional customer service and provide training by: one-on-one training to faculty, staff, and students in the use of operating system software, supported device software, connectivity to campus networks and servers, and in resolution of complex hardware and software problems; training and mentoring other technical staff in systems support responsibilities, and develop and maintain own knowledge of supported products.
• Serve administrative duties by: creating, planning, testing, implementing and documenting projects to better serve users' need; and consult with users regarding commercially available software, site-licensed software, or applications. Maintain advanced knowledge of new products, upgrades, and technologies.
• Responsible for working in collaboration with other team members, and other support groups to maintain division wide continuity: AD configurations, system management tools (SCCM and JAMF), backup solutions, file storage, network functionality, and hardware maintenance.• Provide end user hardware device support by: serving as an information resource related to various device and peripheral systems, including PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile device operating systems and application programs. Shift
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma required. Minimum 1-2 Years of Higher Education experience. Expansive knowledge of device/workstation hardware/software/operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Windows and Mac OS fluency. Customer Service experience a plus.Windows and Mac OS fluency. Customer Service experience a plus.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $15.00 - $22.00, commensurate with experience
