Job Description
The Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) is looking for a Farm Manager for it's Cornett Research Farm.
Duties include but not limited to the following:
- Oversee livestock operation and herd health.
- Keep accurate and complete records of cow health, cow identity and cow production.
- Assist veterinarians as needed.
- Develop and lead necessary safety procedures and training on equipment and livestock handling.
- Develop working relationships with various internal and external parties.
- Responsible for operation of equipment needed for research as well as routine maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities at the Cornett Farm in the NMREEC.
- Work with faculty, students, and staff to implement approved forage and beef research projects, make sure all experimental protocols are followed and ensure data is collected and organized for faculty assessment.
- Manage workers and ensure all the day-to-day operations of the farm are being conducted timely and accurately.
- As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University of Missouri.
Salary Range: $48,900 - $62,900
GGS Grade: 9E

Shift
8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday - Friday.
Some nIghts & and weekends will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
4 years management experience, including prior employee management preferred.
