Space Explorers: THE INFINITE is the largest virtual reality installation ever produced in the world and is based on films produced by Felix & Paul Studios in collaboration with TIME Studios and NASA.

Space Explorers: THE INFINITE allows visitors to visit the International Space Station and have an exceptional experience in space.

Job Purpose

VR Hosts at THE INFINITE are responsible for providing quality customer service and overseeing the onboarding process. They are in direct contact with visitors, this includes scanning tickets, ensuring ticket accuracy, assisting guests with personal items in lockers, and helping with waiver forms on tablets in the welcoming area. Additionally, VR Hosts teach visitors how to wear the VR headset, help them get equipped, and launch them into the VR experience, ensuring a seamless transition from the real world to the virtual one!

Main Responsibilities

  •  Welcome guests, validate/scan tickets and prepare groups for entry.
  •  Provide an orientation about the experience to guests and monitor the flow of customers through the experience.
  •  Manage queues and direct guests into the experience.
  •  Provide practical and safety instructions to guests and ensure guests adhere to the rules.
  •  Provides instructions on how to wear and adjust VR headsets
  •  Communicate any technical or operational problems to the technician(s) on site.
  •  Address guests needs and resolve concerns in a timely manner; escalating as required.
  •  Ensure spaces are safe, clean, and operational during opening hours.
  •  Flexibility to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  •  Perform opening and closing assignments.

Qualifications

  •  Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact comfortably, professionally, courteously, and effectively with both large groups and individual guests; COMFORTABLE SPEAKING IN FRONT OF GROUPS OF PEOPLE
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  •  Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
  •  Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to accurately and completely fill out required forms.
  •  Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve customer service concerns.
  •  No specific knowledge of virtual reality headset technology is required, but a basic understanding is beneficial.
  •  Maintain composure, poise, and a positive attitude under pressure. Act as a positive example in actions, appearance, demeanor, and attendance towards the organization and co-workers.

Working Conditions

THE INFINITE includes virtual reality headsets and visual projections. This position is 100% customer-facing, with a steady stream of visitors and consistent face-to-face interactions throughout the entire scheduled shift.

Hours of Operation: June 4th to September 2nd
Monday: Closed
Tuesday to Thursday: 4pm-8pm
Friday: 2pm-8pm
Saturday:10am-9pm
Sunday: 10am-8pm

Physical Requirements
Must be able to physically move through THE INFINITE experience, reading tickets in various forms. Must also be comfortable using technology, including tablets, VR headsets, ticket scanners, and radios with earpieces.
