Major Duties and Responsibilities:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education, professional licensure, and experience: (Necessary for essential duties)
preferred.
Nursing, Chapter II Rules and Regulations for Approval of Nursing Education Programs.
Skills: (Psychomotor activities needed to perform tasks)
Demonstrated skill in teaching and learning theories, instructional principles and
practices, and curriculum design
Leadership and team building skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated organizational skills
Project planning and priority setting capabilities
Knowledge: (Body of and level of information necessary to perform a duty)
Knowledge of the art and science of nursing and the essentials of baccalaureate and
masters-level nursing education
Demonstrated knowledge in teaching and learning theories, instructional principles and
practices, and curriculum design
Knowledge of leadership and team building
Abilities: (Application of knowledge, i.e., intensity, duration, frequency of mental capabilities
needed to perform tasks)
Teach using a variety of teaching modalities
Develop and/or modify course structure and content for given student populations and
learning environments
Evaluate course delivery
Advise students
Mentor faculty
Use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Web-browser, personal information
management software, advising, and information management software
Work to deadline
Physical and Mental Aspects: (Frequency, duration, very easy to hard, essential to helpful)
Lifting & Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying - essential
Pushing & Pulling: Access files and other materials - routine
Body Positions: Sits at specific desk - frequently

Vision: Able to use computer and office equipment; observe people; write and
read a variety of printed, handwritten, and digital materials; evaluate
written, printed and digital materials; drive a car
Mental: Mathematics (Counting, adding, subtracting etc.)
Use a standard calculator, calculate percentages, basic understanding of
budgeting, statistics, data, graphs, charts, and other data represented
numerically
Ability to recall procedures and policies
Language Ability: (Reading, writing, speaking)
Strong oral and written communication skills required
Reasoning: (Judgment and decision making)
Critical thinking and strong decision-making skills essential
Other requirements: Must be able to travel by car and by airplane
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ranked faculty are hired on variable FTE Faculty Contract. Holiday and leave vary according to FTE. All leave (unpaid, professional, and service) is planned with the School in order to ensure effective year-round operation of the School's nursing education programs.

Pay Rate:
$75,000 to $80,000/year commensurate with qualifications
