Diesel Mechanic

Job Description:

Fast-paced company in business for 26 years, located in Garfield Heights, Ohio is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to complete daily truck repairs, troubleshoot issues, determine necessary parts to order, and effectively communicate with other shop employees.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience working with Class 8 Trucks;
• Experience and proficient with aftertreatment systems
• Ability to troubleshoot, read and understand diagrams, wiring schematics and electrical components;
• Must have a well-rounded skill set and knowledge of maintenance of Class 8 Peterbilt’s equipment with Cummins , Cat , and Paccar motors;
  • All mechanic work is performed in-house, no outside customers
• Must have a basic tool set and toolbox;
  • Computers and specialty tools supplied by the house shop
• Conducting road calls in case of emergency or sudden breakdowns;
• Running diagnostic tests and interpreting the results to offer a suitable solution;
• Proficient in the use of diesel motor diagnostic software: Cummins insite/ Cat SIS 2.0/ Jaltest;
• Must have a valid driver’s license;
• Must be able to generate Workorders and parts list for the equipment being repaired;
• Must be a team player and work well with the others in the shop.
