TRAVEL ADVISOR – SALES ASSOCIATE
Responsibilities:
- Let’s talk travel! Do you like talking to people about traveling? Use your upbeat attitude to respond to incoming inquiry and sell trips.
- Are you a curious explorer? Develop regional knowledge within the OBP territories with ability to describe and sell OBP travel.
- Do you love to talk on the phone and help others? Answer phones, qualify customers, and manage inquiry and follow-up tasks.
- Are you competitive and like to win? Understand tiered pricing structure and guide prospects given fill rates and trip departure details.
- Do you enjoy teamwork? Participate in the achievement of specific company revenue, fill rate, and profit margin goals.
Ideal Qualifications: Love of people and enthusiasm to professionally connect and communicate with curious travelers. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and previous office experience. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills are essential. Position requires superior attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a positive "can-do" attitude. Full-time, in-office presence, Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:30 pm.
TRAVEL DESIGNER
Responsibilities: Creatively sell, plan, and communicate custom itineraries for high-end travelers. Strong, creative writing skills and proficiency with numbers are essential. Extensive knowledge of our National Parks of the West is required.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Love of people and enthusiasm to professionally connect and communicate with curious travelers.
- Candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with previous office experience (Minimum of 4 years) Experience in the travel and tourism industry preferred. Attributes of our designers include:
- Professional and polished communication skills required, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, self-motivated, team- oriented, positive “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, along with ability to multi-task.
- Aptitude with numbers, including but not limited to margins, commissions, and net rates.
- Proficiency with CRM technology, PC systems, including Excel, Word, and Outlook are critical.
GUEST SERVICES CONCIERGE
Responsibilities:
- Listen and engage with booked travelers in an excited and professional fashion to address trip questions or concerns.
- Utilize company processes and tools including but not limited to phone system, enterprise system, and document generation applications to manage the flow of activities related to the guest travel experience.
- Learn, advise, and sell travel insurance to booked travelers.
- Generate and compile traveler documents and mailings. Including but not limited to: § Welcome confirmation packet § Journey guidebook and trip essentials package § Pre & post trip communications.
- Manage the collection of final payments and address travel questions for all trips, 90 days prior to departure.
- Work directly with travelers concerning post-trip evaluations and overall trip satisfaction.
Ideal Qualifications:
- In-office presence, Monday – Friday, namely between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
- Travel and/or high-end hospitality industry experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
- Penchant for exceptional, 5-star service with excellent and professional written, verbal, and listening communication skills with a variety of personality types.
- Self-motivated and unafraid to be a team player and work through tasks and details.
MARKETING ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:
- Develop understanding of all marketing related materials connected with the annual OBP trip portfolio. Design and develop content to deliver trip-related marketing materials (digital and print). Namely responsible for trip brochures and post-catalog trip-copy web updates.
- Facilitate Marketo for weekly e-cables.
- Review OBP website. Facilitating additions, updates and corrections.
- Act as assistant blog managing editor. Posting and publishing include loading copy into Word Press, creating hyperlinks, adding key words and meta description, adding (and sometimes sourcing) photos, and publishing.
- Management of social media.
- Write or edit special one-off content tasks as needed.
- Participate in the coordination of marketing efforts of the Lindblad family of travel companies. Participate in meetings to track performance and best practices.
- Participate in occasional OBP trips with the objective of writing blogs.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Expertise in marketing, at least 5 years’ experience.
- Intermediate or above proficiency with InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Travel and/or high-end hospitality industry experience preferred.
