Founded in 1941, CSU STRATA supports and serves the Colorado State University System (CSU System) through intellectual property management & technology transfer services, real estate management, development services, special project oversight, and operational management. The CSU System consists of Colorado State University Fort Collins (CSU), CSU Pueblo, CSU Global, CSU Todos Santos Center and the CSU Spur Campus.

As CSU STRATA's Communications Director you will capture and present success stories that come from the forward-looking, strategic opportunities our real estate, technology transfer and financing services create for our customers, colleagues, and partners.

In this mid-level management position, you bring leadership to our internal and external communications efforts. You drive and deliver strategic communications plans, create, and produce compelling content, set and report metrics of success. You own the brand voice. You build and protect the brand's integrity with brand-driven content. The promising candidate is a master of their craft: a persuasive communicator, creative storyteller, excellent writer, cross-platform publisher with intense attention to detail. You work collaboratively with the business units and at all levels of the organization. Your success comes from the exposure you bring to the successes of those we care about and create opportunities for.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Develop and drive a multi-channel communications strategy
o Own the brand voice and maintain its integrity
o Audience(s) definition and understanding
o Manage social media, website, and internal communications channels
o Create digital, video, audio, and print content
o Track engagement and impact to assist with data-driven decisions
o Build internal communications partnerships
o Foster relationships with media and communications partners in the CSU System
o Provide direction to business units on specific communications, marketing, and design
o Assist with developing the communications budget
Salary Range: $80,000-95,000 annualized, depending on qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education & Experience
o Required: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or related field.
- Preferred: Graduate degree in relevant field. o Five to 10 years in external and internal communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing.
- Minimum 3 years cross-functional work, demonstrating ability to successfully collaborate across a variety of business units and organizational levels.
- Minimum 3 years managing project teams or direct staff supervision.
- Minimum 3 years developing and implementing strategic vision for marketing, communications, and public relations; using traditional and emerging platforms to reach and engage a broad array of audiences.
- University or related foundation experience in communications, technology transfer, intellectual property, or real estate settings.
- Ability to assess communication strategies and plans. o Strong leadership track record. o Work with social media platforms and tools including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and website builders. (i.e., Word Press, Elementor, HTML, Google Analytics, and Constant Contract.)
