Position Description
The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a visiting position in Anthropology beginning in August 2024. We seek a broadly trained anthropologist who has a strong commitment to teaching within an undergraduate liberal arts and sciences setting. The individual would be expected to teach the equivalent of four courses a semester, at the introductory to upper level. The area of specialization is open, with special consideration given to candidates who are able to contribute to the College of Charleston's Race, Equity, and Inclusion requirement and/or the Cultural Sustainability Certificate. At the time of appointment, the successful candidate will have teaching experience and (minimally) an M.A. in Anthropology.
