The Coastal Regional Commission, located in Darien, GA, is seeking a qualified candidate for an open position in the Finance Department. The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business. An associate degree and/or minimum of two-four years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping may be substituted for education. Experience in governmental or non-profit accounting is preferred. The position is responsible for the accurate accounting of transportation program funds, including preparing budgets and financial reports for funding agencies, monitoring and evaluating program revenues and expenses and providing supportive assistance to the Transportation Program Director as needed. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, be able to work with minimal supervision, have knowledge and experience in computerized accounting, financial reports, budgets, etc. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
