POSITION – CITY MANAGER

City of Gordon, Nebraska (Population 1,525) is accepting applications for the position of City Manager. Gordon has a Council - City Manager form of government. The City Manager reports to the City Council and oversees all departments and phases of municipal government. The successful candidate needs to possess good written and verbal communication skills, must be able to multi-task and delegate responsibilities, will have good organizational and interpersonal skills, must be highly motivated with a great work ethic, and will interact professionally with all members of the public. This position includes the duties of Airport Manager and City Treasurer.

A Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited college or university, in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Experience in administration, management, government, or related fields will be beneficial. This is a full-time exempt position with benefits. The salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
