Code Enforcement Officer Trainee
Code Enforcement Officer Trainee (Part Time) City of Burlington
Under direction of the Chief Code Enforcement Officer, examines properties for their compliance with state, county, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. Conducts field work to ensure compliance of code regulations. Consults with owners, and contractors on compliance of properties and projects and violations. Successful candidate will conduct on-site inspections, investigate reports of potential violations, initiate necessary legal action, prepare required reports, establish and maintain records and files and testify in court when necessary. Requirements include a valid New Jersey Driver's License, computer proficiency, strong communication skills. Successful candidate will be required to obtain the certification of Hotel and Multiple Dwelling Inspector through the NJ DCA within 1 year of appointment. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
