Associate
Calhoun Bhella & Sechrest is a boutique law firm in search of a health law associate with 2-4 years of experience in reimbursement matters, Medicare/Medicaid administrative appeals, fraud and abuse counseling, civil fraud investigations, and regulatory compliance. Previous background in healthcare (as a clinician or on the management side, for example) would be a major plus.
The partner with whom you will principally work is based in Washington, D.C., but this can be a hybrid position (i.e., either fully remote or partly remote and partly in-office). This position will include a relatively flexible work schedule as long as the work gets done. We do not have minimum billable hour requirements. Salary will initially be paid on an hourly basis and subsequently transition to yearly. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
The successfully candidate with have experience in Medicare/Medicaid rules, regulations, and policies as well as experience reviewing medical records.
